APRIL 2025. DURPARK, CO and NO2 Detection.
The new La Coruña Intermodal Station is the result of replacing the old Bus Station and remodeling the La Coruña-San Cristóbal train station. It is bordered by the Station district, the Os Mallos neighborhood, and Avenida de la Sardiñeira.
The train tracks have been removed from its canopy—the only example of the Neo-Romanesque railway style in Spain—to house a large passenger lobby and a commercial area.
A new hall with access control and a commercial area has been built between the canopy and the boarding area. Outside, the access plaza has been redesigned to improve pedestrian access and the parking area for taxis and city buses.
To optimize its urban integration, a transversal pedestrian walkway has been built, crossing over the new departure lounge and connecting Avenida de Sardiñeira with Avenida do Ferrocarril. An underground access road will also be built to the station parking lot, serving both the train and bus stations. The underground parking lot has 325 parking spaces for passenger cars and another 44 for rental vehicles. It features CO and NO2 detection and the DURPARK system, supplied by DURÁN ELECTRÓNICA.
