November 2015. H2S detection in waste water treatment plant.
The waste water treatment plant (EDAR) allows the town of Nerja to be equipped with an integral sanitation system, with the aim of avoiding spillage directly into the sea. For this, the EDAR has been built in Nerja, as well as a grid of pumping stations, sewer pipes and overflow channels to collect waste water within from the municipality and take them to the new treatment station.
The new EDAR is designed for a population of 100.000 inhabitants during high season, and so it will be able to treat a daily average flow of 25,000 cubic meters. The new infrastructure is located in the Fuente del Badén stream to the north of the N-340 road and occupies a surface of 28,999 square meters.
To control emissions of H2S the DURGAS system, designed and manufactured by DURÁN ELECTRÓNICA, has been chosen.
