July 2018. Detection of CO, NO2, linear heat detection and environment and air quality control.
The Monrepós tunnels are a series of road tunnels conceived to allow passing for the Monrepós pre-Pirenaic pass, between the cities of Huesca and Sabiñánigo, and are part of the N-330, A-23 and roads, and to the conversion of the N-330 into the A-23.
Monrepós 3 or Arguís tunnel
It is located just before ascending to the town of Arguis, in the middle part of the southern slope of the pass. This one-tube tunnel with dual carriageway has a length of 1,000 meters, being the seventh longest road tunnel in the Aragón region.
It is integrated in the “Congosto de Isuela-Arguis” stretch of the A-23, that is 3.3 Kms. Long. The road up to the Anguis reservoir, the slowest due to the difficulty in its execution, has an investment of 104 million euros, a tunnel and three viaducts.
Monrepós 8 or Caldearenas-Lanave tunnel
The stretch between Caldearenas and Lanave has more than four kilometers and an investment of 104 million euros. It has three differentiated parts: an initial stretch with a single carriageway, a second stretch of 1.5 kilometers that duplicates the current road, and another of 3 kilometers that eliminates a series of curves and reduces by several kilometers the length of the pass. This stretch includes a number of viaducts. One of the most spectacular is the one that covers the basin of the Guarga, and that had a cost of 15 million Euros. Also, there are two other viaducts and the Monrepos 8 tunnel, with 395 meters length.
Monrepós 7 tunnel (Caldearenas) Alto de Monrepós-Caldearenas
This stretch of 4.1 kilometers is one of the costliest, with 122 million euros in its budget. One of its most significant elements is the Montrepos 7 tunnel, 2.932 meters long.
The evacuation and connection gallery, as well as the technical rooms and all the combined installations and equipment needed, are amongst the latest innovations. This tunnel is at the cutting Edge of those in Europe because it uses the latest in security solutions. It is also one of the largest in the region of Aragón, along with the the Somport and Bielsa-Aragnouet tunnels.
For these three tunnels toxic gas detection is carried out using SONDELTOX CO and NO2 detectors manufactured by Durán Electrónica.
Air quality control in Lanave and Alto de Monrepós is carried out using Opacimeters and Anemometers distributed by Durán Electrónica.
Linear heat detection for the Arguis tunnel uses Fibrolaser ® distributed by Durán Electrónica.
