August 2014. O2 detection in winery building
Martin Berdugo winery and vineyard is a family company established in Aranda de Duero, at the heart of the Ribera del Duero region. Its first steps begin in 1990, when the family decides to plant vineyards in a pebbly terrain, ideal for such rustic cultivation. In the year 2000 the winery building is built, its installations being awarded the prize for best European design in the construction category by the German magazine Bauwelt.
The vineyard is located on a terrace overlooking the Duero river, on the meander formed just before encountering the Arandilla river, in the Castillian plateau, at 800 meters altitude and in extreme climatological conditions. It is a single plot of 104 hectares, a privileged area formed by alluvial terrain, covered by pebbles that retain heat and humidity, benefit maturity and confer peculiar smell and colour characteristics to a unique fruit.
The winery building is protected by the DURGAS gas detection and measuring system, equipped with oxygen detectors, all designed and manufactured by DURAN ELECTRONICA.
