January 2015. Explosive gas detection in power plant
The Egemer – Erzin combined-cycle gas turbine power plant is going to generate 904 megawatts, which meets 2.6 percent of Turkey’s current electricity requirements. This power plant adds an incremental 1.6 percent to Turkey’s current installed generation capacity of 53 gigawatts, which is expected to increase to up to 80 gigawatts by 2020, much of this increase being provided by the private sector.
The power plant is capable of generating highly flexible and efficient electric power with the use of advanced technology. The plant is equipped with an advanced combustion system to help maintain compliance with environmental emissions criteria to meet European standards.
This installation is protected by the DURTEX range of explosive gas detectors, designed and manufactured by DURAN ELECTRONICA.
