The Extremadura regional government opens a new administrative seat that will house the regional ministries of Health and Consumer Affairs, Public Works, Rural Development, Social Benefits, Culture and Education. The building, situated in the Merida III Millenium Regional Interest Project, will be finished by the second semester of 2011 and will have enough space to house some 1,500 workers. It will also include many innovative systems to achieve energy savings and efficiencies.
The building will be built on a surface of 62,975m2 and will include a 10,100m2 car park divided in two levels with a capacity for 630 parking spaces. Building operations for this project have an allocated budget of 73,902,744 euros.
The underground car park will be protected by the DURAN 203 PLUS carbon monoxide detection and measurement system, designed and manufactured by DURAN ELECTRONICA.
