March 2012. CO detection in underground car park
In Madrid’s San Jeronimo Road a new underground car park is due to be built. The project, valued at 12,885,000 €, includes an underground car park for parliamentarians and personnel from the lower House. It is planned that 262 parking spaces distributed throughout four levels will be built.
At present, Parliament has 60 parking spaces above ground, which will disappear with the remodeling work the City Council is carrying out to improve the surroundings of Parliament Square, and with 300 spaces in the main building, that will join those of the new car park to include the vehicles of all authorized personnel. With this new car park the public car park in Parliament Square will no longer be used.
The underground car park will be protected by the EUROSONDELCO gas measurement and detection system and Carbon Monoxide – CO – EURODETECTORS, designed and manufactured by DURAN ELECTRONICA.
