June 2013. CO detection, anemometers and opacimeters in road tunnel
Final excavation has concluded for the largest and widest tunnel in the Island of Tenerife between El Amparo and La Vega, in Icod de los Vinos. The infrastructure, 1,200 meters long and 16,5 meters wide, is a key part of the closing of the insular ring in its 12 kilometer section between Icod and El Tanque. To complete the project a global budget of 121 million euros has been invested.
The Icod de los Vinos – El Tanque stretch, which includes nine open air tunnels and the 1,217 meter tunnel of La Vega, substitutes the C-280, a road with a very winding route, narrow section, minimal service level and high risk for drivers.
These installations are protected with carbon monoxide detectors manufactured by DURAN ELECTRONICA, as well as by anemometers and opacimeters distributed by DURAN ELECTRONICA.
