July 2013. CO and NO detectors, ultrasonic anemometers, Linear heat detection with optical fibre and Temperature and Humidity sensors
Inelfe, a French society, was constituted in 2008 following an agreement reached between the French and Spanish governments in Zaragoza. The project electrically connects France and Spain from Baixas (Perpignan) to Santa Llogaia d’Àlguema (Alt Empordà) through the Pyrenees with an infrastructure with a capacity of 2.000MW, 320 kilovolts in total, and a length of 63 kilometers. Since 1982 no electric interconnection line had been put in service. For this reason the European Union classifies the new line between France and Spain promoted by Inelfe as of “European critical interest”.
The tunnel, 8.5 kilometers in length and 3.5 meters diameter, will house the electric interconnection cables in the stretch that crosses the Pyrenees. It will have its entry and exit in the municipalities of La Jonquera (Alt Empordá) and Montesquieu des Albères (France). The tunnel project is 15% of the total of the VHT (Very High Tension electric line).
These installations are protected with CO and NO detectors manufactured by DURAN ELECTRONICA and by anemometers, linear detection cable, and temperature and humidity sensors, distributed by DURAN ELECTRONICA.
