May 2012. Air control in tunnel
The Daza tunnel is located in Southwest Colombia, near the border with Ecuador. It has an extension of 1,710 meters in length, with a maximum height of 7,50 m. and a width of 10 m., with two lanes.
The tunnel is situated over the 5B stretch of the Pasto eastern turnoff, between kilometric points 18 to 20, starting at Vereda de la Merced and ending at Daza. This tunnel makes communications and commerce easier between these two areas.
The tunnel includes high-technology equipment for telecommunications systems and for fire and air control electric systems. It also has an emergency car park.
All installed material complies with the strictest European regulations.
In the tunnel there is installed equipment distributed by DURAN ELECTRONICA such as anemometers – equipment for the measurement of wind direction and speed in the horizontal plane -, luminance meters – equipment for the measuring of luminance or luminous intensity of a surface, turning it into a loop current signal – and light sensors.
