January 2013. CO, NO2 and explosive gas detection at bank head office
The BBVA bank group will open its new financial city in Madrid before next summer. Located at Las Tablas, it will occupy a surface of 100,000m2 and in it, it is intended to group the 6,500 workers that are currently spread out throughout various building in Madrid.
The complex, in construction now, will be formed by various three floor high buildings separated by patios that will lead into a square in which there will be a 22 floor high tower. It will also include a 3,000 spaces car park, green areas and sport facilities. Design of the project has been carried out following demanding requirements in terms of sustainability and energy savings, in order to obtain the LEED Certification, within the bank group’s Global Ecoefficiency Plan.
As happened before with the Banco Snatander Financial City, DURÁN ELECTRÓNICA has supplied the new BBVA head office with its EUROSONDELCO system for the detection of Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) in the car parks, and for explosive gases in boilers and kitchens.
