November 2011. Gas detection in research center.
The new building of the Cajal Institute, part of the Spanish national Research Council, is located in the campus of Alcalá de Henares University. The main role of the new center is to develop a neuroscientific program to pass on to society the benefits of advances in knowledge, through transfers of technology to national and regional health services.
The Institute has a total built surface of 21,600m2 with a construction budget of 30,873,623.18 euros. These buildings, the Polytechnic and the “Tecnoalcala” Scientific-Technical park, are the interaction axis in which the development program will integrate in the areas of Cellular, Molecular and Development Neurobiology, and Functional and Systems Neurobiology.
These installations are protected with the EUROSONDELCO gas measuring and detection system, which includes gas detectors for Oxygen (O2), and explosive gas detectors for Hydrogen (H) and Acetilene (C2H2). All equipment has been designed and manufactured by DURAN ELECTRONICA.
